Can I drop just the Medigap drug coverage and keep the Medigap insurance?
Yes. Only the drug coverage part of your Medigap plan will change if you join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. You can keep Medigap coverage for your other health-care needs. You will add the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan for your drug coverage.
REMEMBER: You must tell your Medigap plan the date your Medicare drug coverage will start. Then you can buy a Medigap plan that does not include drug coverage, which may have a lower premium.
If you do not tell them, they will still charge you the full premium.
