People With Medicare
If Medicare will automatically enroll me in a plan, why should I look at plans?
Medicare did not know your drugs or the drugstore you like to use. If you pick your own plan, you can find one that covers all or most of the medications you take. You can also pick a plan that has your favorite drugstore in its network. This means your drugs will cost less.
You can switch plans as often as once a month if the plan you are in is not meeting your needs. So you can still pick a plan that works best for you.
Can my state make me join a certain Medicare drug plan?
No. State Medicaid programs can give you information about plans, but they can't make you join a certain one.
