Can I get extra help with costs of the Medicare plan if I have other types of drug coverage or insurance?

Yes. The extra help with costs is based on your income and resources (or that of you and your spouse, if you are living together). You can still qualify for and receive extra help with costs even if you have other insurance or help with drug costs. See Extra Help Paying.

Will I be automatically enrolled in a drug plan if I qualify for extra help?

Medicare should have enrolled you automatically, if you qualify for extra help and did not choose a plan yourself.

Medicare chose this plan for you at random. It may not meet all of your needs.  It is a good idea to learn more about the plans in your area--then choose the plan that will work best for you.
